Bingo is a dog of many talents . . . 

Bingo had quite a Fourth out in the country at the Spencer place. The photos below are what happens when a half-Beagle gets the scent of a rabbit - she gets stuck in a muddy drain and has to be dug out :) Fortunately, her head was on the part of her that wasn't in the pipe.

Kate also had some fun on this trip. This year, she broke through her fear of fireworks and had a blast with sparklers and smoke bombs. She also took a bunch of pictures with an old 35mm camera - we'll post some of those once we get them developed.

We also learned that Bingo knows how to swim. (No one threw her in.) Grandma, Grandpa, Kate and I headed out on their pond to feed the fish and Bingo followed us down to the pond/lake. We pulled away from the shore and a couple of minutes later, Bingo dove into the water and headed straight for us. We were astounded! (Of course, I didn't bring a camera.) She made her way to the boat like she'd been swimming all her life, Grandma lifted her into the boat, she shook off and got us all wet.
